On the morning of the 9th of April 2014(Archibald Knox’s 150 Birthday) Douglas Borough Council will unveil a Blue Plaque at 70 Athol Street Douglas where he lived and had a studio.

blue plaque is a permanent sign installed in a public place in the United Kingdom and elsewhere to commemorate a link between that location and a famous person or event, serving as a historical marker. There are also commemorative plaque schemes throughout the world, including in Paris, Rome, Oslo, Dublin and in cities in Australia, Canada and the United States.
